I want to be a writer. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. I've written a few things before. Most of you will know about Icar, a while back I wrote an unfinished story about a hit man called Tomorrow's Keeper. I tried to revisit it but my writing has moved on a long way since. Sorry to those that wanted to know how it finished. Buggered if I knew.

Kate's paternal Grandma passed away yesterday around lunchtime. A formidable lady, even after 90 years. She died peacefully in her sleep at a nursing home she loved to hate. Everyone's holding up well. Inlaws are on their way back.

Life is too short to do everything I want to do. The week, sadly, only has 168 hours in it and I am not on some sort of insane quest to make each and every one count. Alright, I've been on that quest for a considerable amount of time now but I'm going up a gear. Here's how.
As luck would have it, my parents have moved Christmas forward a week so we can get the whole family together. As Kate's parents are in Cambodia and her brothers and sisters going to the Chrimbo celebrations of their other halves, that leaves us with an empty house Christmas Day.
