I'm an Uncle again! Sister has dropped sprog 2, 8lb 6oz (a big one). Baby, Mother and father all well (although I imagine my sister's language was profane).

The better half and I were chatting about what to do about New Year. We decided that it might be a good idea to run a party at the house, seeing that there's plenty of room. If I were to throw a party in Lower Earley, who'd be up for it?
I've just bought a 16GB iPod Touch. I've been saving, selling off old tech, ummming and ahhhhing about getting an MP3 player for some time. Getting the full deposit back from the landlord put me over the edge.
National Novel Writing Month is every November. The aim is to write 50,000 words in a month. Last year, I got up to 26,000 on an Icar story. This year, I'm going to try again. It was a challenge and lots of fun. It starts tomorrow. I just want to see how far I can get.

I aimed to set off this morning at 07:30, giving myself a full hour to get there, get showered and sat at my desk as normal. I got all my stuff together the night before so that I could concentrate on just checking the machine over and getting started. I left at 07:28 and ploughed on up to the the Rushey Way, Beech Lane, Wilderness lane, Wokingham road and on.
Kate and I have finally finished moving all our stuff into the new house in the scarily 'pleasant' Lower Earley. Tonight will be the last night of tidying a few bits and pieces we lost the will to do in the flat, as tomorrow is my regular Icar game session, tonight is really the last night.
You'll notice about your Blog post Body box, there are three selectors at the moment 'Real Life', 'Technology' and 'Miscellaneous Tags'. This is where you choose a few words that best describe your post. By using these tags, it will mean that all the content on the site (links, pages, blogs, everything!) can be grouped together by what it contains.
There seems to be a new home theme going on in my life at the moment. Kate and I have one more weekend to move into the new house in Lower Earley and now we've all started the move into Lack-Of.
Are there any other features we should look at before we open it up to the boys. I think adding a sub domain for pete's blog might be nice, such as http://pete.lack-of.org or http://byrn.lack-of.org

I think we get a couple of domains free but we can upgrade the acct, they aren't expensive.
